From March 28th to 31st, 2025, the China Science Fiction Conference, themed "Science Dreams, Creating the Future", was grandly held at the Shougang Park in Beijing. Co-hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Beijing Municipal Government, the conference, with the theme of "Science Dreams, Creating the Future", featured five sections including an opening ceremony, professional forums, competition events, industrial promotion activities, and mass activities, with over 30 events in total. The conference aimed to promote the deep integration of the science fiction industry with science and technology, culture, and the economy, and to create an internationally influential platform for science fiction exchanges.
As an important part of the conference, the science fiction industry investment event focused on the integration of science fiction with capital and technology. Through sessions such as the "Science Fiction Industry Investment and Financing Conference" and "Science Fiction Industry Project Roadshow", it provided a platform for financial support and resource integration for science fiction projects. The event attracted 329 professionals, including investment institutions, science fiction enterprises, and industry experts. A total of 23 projects were showcased and released, 4 key projects were signed, and the "Report on the Current Situation and Investment of China's Science Fiction Industry" was released.
Nanjing Boundless Technology Co., Ltd., a professional service provider in the field of sci-fi visual technology, was invited to participate in this conference. Mr. Gan Shunxuan, the company's Chief Operating Officer, attended the sci-fi industry investment forum as an investment guest and provided professional comments on the sci-fi projects that participated in the roadshow.
On the forum, Gan Shunxuan, drawing on the practical experience of Boundless Technology in the field of sci-fi visual technology, objectively analyzed the project from three aspects: technical feasibility, market potential, and business model. Currently, the technical threshold for the sci-fi industry is gradually lowering, but achieving a balance between technology and narrative remains a key challenge. He shared his thoughts on the future of the sci-fi industry. With the popularization of generative AI and real-time rendering technology, the sci-fi industry will pay more attention to "narrative-driven visual expression". The value of technology lies in serving the story itself rather than merely pursuing visual spectacles. In the future, Boundless Technology will continue to focus on the standardization of technology and its application in scenarios, promoting the transformation of sci-fi visual technology from "tool provision" to "content empowerment", and assisting more creators in realizing their creativity.
